fen’s work is characterized by playful and critical dialogues with technologies of representation. engaging the mediums of performance, sculpture, broadcast television, and object puppetry, their practice considers the aesthetics and grammars of the “ongoing catastrophe,” indulges in impotence and insurgent sensuality, and stages situated disavowals of ontologies of blackness.
